Summary of module for applicants:
This module provides the opportunity to synthesise learning from across the course to create an applied business project that assesses current and conventional approaches to business strategy through the evaluation of theory and practice. The module provides you with the opportunity to hone your project to different business needs and demands. The module assessment provides the opportunity for students to create a final artefact that demonstrates their learning and showcases their skills for potential employers to see how Industry 5.0 skills create graduates with enhanced skills and competencies.
This module enables you to conduct an applied research project that addresses an International Business Management (IBM) problem. This could include a work-based project, a case study, a simulation experience, marketing strategy, enterprise project, or other empirical research that demonstrates critical understanding of applied research and the relationship between IBM theory and its practical application.
Main topics of study:
There are no taught classes on this module as students will be developing and researching their projects. This could include a work-based project, business simulation, case study or other empirical research on a topic related to International Business Management (IBM).
Students will conduct a research-based project, present their findings and generate recommendations demonstrating scholarship in the field of IBM.
Learning Outcomes for the module
At the end of this module, students will be able to:
1. Synthesise knowledge, applying a critical understanding of IBM to real world problems.
2. Analyse complex IBM problems critically and rigorously to reach interpretations. and judgements.
3. Critically appraise various IBM theories and project management methods & approaches to make evidence-based recommendations.
4. Interpret and measure key business information sources, data and argue for their relevance in business solutions.
